About the Role
The successful candidate should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.  The candidate should have strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.  The staff accountant’s responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with the close process and developing/maintaining policies & procedures.  

The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Participate in monthly/quarterly/annual close process, including journal entry preparation and submission

  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations, including research and resolution of reconciling items

  • Provide support during annual external audits

  • Assist with sales tax and other compliance related matters

  • Provide support to AR and AP functions as needed

  • Assist with inventory control, including but not limited to cycle count audits

  • Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • N/A

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in accounting

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong financial and general ledger accounting knowledge

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Experience with ERP systems - Netsuite preferred 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Willing to be in the office at least 4 days a week
