About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Robotics. You’ll drive critical Go-to-Market (GTM) initiatives to bring our low-cost, open-source lab automation portfolio to market at scale.

As our Product Marketing leader, you will own product launches, develop strategic product positioning that demonstrates our competitive advantages, enable Sales with application and product-themed playbooks, and build a reagent and consumables partnership strategy. This role will suit an experienced and open-minded life science marketer who exudes both creativity and business sense, while also being able to see everything from the perspectives of the lab scientists that we serve.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Be the application subject matter expert in our efforts to develop GTM playbooks to commercialize our solutions that automate common life science applications e.g. nucleic acid extraction, NGS library prep, PCR, ELISA and other immunoassays, etc..

  • Develop product positioning that enables Sales to sell our automated solutions, including against competitor robots and in the transition from manual to automated.

  • Champion and obsessively tune GTM positioning and tonal guidelines in a format that informs our market education, sales acceleration, thought leadership & content strategy.

  • Prioritize and coordinate reagent and labware partnerships and the resulting Sales and Marketing deliverables (e.g., app notes, webinars, case studies).

  • Play the role of a credibility watchdog, keeping customer-facing collateral and activities across departments grounded in science and the needs of lab scientists.

  • Segment our customers by lab type, persona, area of expertise, decision making role, skill level, position, application or workflow, etc. and institutionalize these segments into corresponding GTM activities and investments.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in a marketing/product marketing manager role in the life science industry, preferably with some experience in automation.

  • Postgraduate training in molecular biology or a related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • You have a deep understanding of molecular biology and the needs of lab scientists across academia and industry.

  • You have the ability to think strategically and creatively to produce scalable Go-to-Market initiatives that are relevant for our customers.

  • You are a strong customer advocate whose center of gravity is in the field, learning from your customers.

  • You are motivated by the potential of affordable, open-source lab automation to help life scientists accelerate their work on some of the world’s most important problems.

  • You bring out the best in those around you, providing context, clarity, and a healthy collaborative environment to the teams you work with.

  • You have an entrepreneurial sense of initiative and a bias for action; your colleagues count on you to roll up your sleeves and get things done.

  • This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate virtually, over the phones, and to read printed material.

  • Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) very occasionally.

  • Limited travel is required for this position.
